Teamwork = Dreamwork
Intermediate two day workshop
February 22-23, 2025

Description

Saturday & Sunday, February 22-23, 2025
10am - 5pm
Cost: $945.00 (cost includes GST)
Instructors: Jeff Holmwood, Tara Connors, & Sonya Labrie

Working as a team in the hot shop opens up possibilities in terms of scale and complexity. Students will learn the various positions in a traditional multi person team. They will learn how to give clear communication (telepathy comes later), verbalizing the process with attention to various factors (heat depth/duration, glory hole temp, what is the next heat for and why etc.). They will learn to verbalize their inner thought processes occurring when working solo or without a team. Working large also slows the process down into discreet explainable steps (unlike a presto-chango Venetian goblet).

We will focus on blowing on center, even walled vessels, fusion punties, the ergonomics of working large and various other techniques that team blowing allows (two handed papering/outboard jacking baby!).

This is an intermediate class, some hot shop experience is required.
