Create a beautiful work of art out of molten glass! Work one-on-one with a professional glass artist to make a colourful glass heart-shaped paperweight that will be treasured forever. You will each make one glass heart paperweight in this time.
Participants must be Age 16 or over. No experience required, everyone welcome. Space is limited.
Please choose your time slot below. 4 spaces are available per time slot. If a time slot is missing, it's already full. If you can't book two spaces in one time slot, someone has taken the other space.
Finished pieces are ready for pick-up the following week.
About our Instructors
Joanne Andrighetti is a Vancouver-based glass artist, fabricator, and educator who has been working in glass for over 40 years. A graduate of Sheridan College’s Crafts and Design program, she has owned and operated glassblowing and flameworking studios, taught extensively and exhibited her work internationally.
Laura Burns is an experienced glass blower and Teacher! She isa graduate of Emily Carr college of Art and Design and started blowing glass in the 1990s. She has been teaching glass blowing for 25 years.
Heather Konschuh has been working with glass for over 20 years, earning a BFA specializing in glass from ACAD and furthering her studies at ANU in Australia. Her experience includes a residency at the Living Arts Centre, work at Pilchuck, and over three years blowing glass in London, UK. She has been teaching for over 16 years and loves sharing her passion for this fascinating material with students. Heather’s work ranges from blown and sculptural pieces to memorial glass, and is held in collections around the world.
