Intro to Flameworking Weekend Workshop
June 20 & 21, 2026
Saturday & Sunday, 10am - 5pm

Fee: $540 + gst
Flameworking is a great way to experience the thrill of shaping molten glass using a small torch. In this introductory course, you will learn the basics of melting borosilicate glass rods to create a variety of objects such as small sculptures, pendants and simple ornaments. You will use mostly clear glass and some colour. You will also learn about the nature of glass, tools and terminology and glass safety.
Ages 16+. No experience required. All materials included.

About the Instructor
Hannah Mhairi was born and raised in the lower mainland of British Columbia. She discovered borosilicate glass in 2021 and quickly became an active member of Terminal City Glass Co-op, dedicating most of her free time to learning the art. Hannah has used social media, particularly instagram, to connect with other glass artists from all around the world, and to create an online portfolio. She has spent the last 2 and a half years living and travelling in various places across North America, UK, and Europe in the pursuit of glass knowledge and experiences. She recently returned to Vancouver after spending 5 months working at the renowned Corning Museum of Glass. Hannah has shown work at PoMoArts in Port Moody, and Sans Labels in Los Angeles.
