Refining Forms Intermediate Glassblowing Workshop

Instructors: Boyd Sugiki and Lisa Zerkowitz

In this small class setting, we will build a solid foundation, refine skills, work more efficiently, and establish an understanding of how working on a small scale can translate into larger works. You will work in clear glass, focusing on basic forms such as the tumbler, cylinder, and bowl, moving methodically from one shape to the next. Instruction will be personalized to build on individual skills, and one-on-one time will be given to help find simple solutions to common struggles.

Age 16+. All materials supplied. This class required previous experience. Students must have taken at least one Introduction to Glassblowing class or equivalent (weekend workshop, 3 Private Lessons or a 6-week course.) 

About the Instructors

Boyd Sugiki and Lisa Zerkowitz began blowing glass together at Rhode Island School of Design in 1995. Together they own a studio in Seattle where they design and produce a line of studio glass collaboratively under the name Two Tone Studios.
