Introduction to Fused Glass Workshop
Saturday, February 20th: 1pm - 4pm & Sunday, February 21st: 1pm - 4pm
Instructor: Janelle Tyler
Fusing methods involve stacking thin sheets of different coloured glass to create patterns or images on flat tiles, which can then be molded into different forms.
Students will have the opportunity to make three 4” tiles, one of which will be draped into a business card holder. Students may create smaller tiles which can be finished into magnets or pendants. The workshop will cover a range of different fusing techniques including curved cuts, noodles and draping. Students will also learn the basics of loading, programming and unloading the kiln.
The fusing orientation members are required to complete in order to use the space is included in this workshop, you do not need to book a separate session.
All materials are included and pieces will be available for collection after Sunday's session. There are 3 spaces in the workshop, and attendees will be required to wear masks at all times.
