A murrini is simply any arrangement of coloured glass which is heated, stretched and chopped into tiles to create patterns and pictures.

This course will introduce the myriad of steps involved in creating murrini through short lectures, demonstrations and time on tools. Students will learn to plan and construct complex patterns, even symbols and images, using various colour applications and techniques.

Demonstrations will also include common methods of rolling up using murrini to create vessels. Because after all the murrini are made, there’s still glassblowing to do! Come join us for 24 hours of Murrini madness!
You must have glassblowing experience to take this class.
