Using coloured and clear borosilicate glass, students will learn how to make several styles of marbles including the basic marble shaping techniques, air trapping, tube implosions, surface decorations, pinwheeling and dot patterns, silver and gold fuming, and more! All materials are provided.
This class is intermediate level; some flameworking experience is required. Please contact us if you are unsure of your level of experience.
 
Raj Kommineni is a glass artist who lives and works in Northampton, Massachusetts. He started working with glass full time in 2003 after graduating from the University of Massachusetts. In 2004, he established Kommineni Art Glass. His primary focus has been marbles and paperweights, although he also makes glass jewelry, doorknobs, gear shifters & small blown vessels. His work appears in The Encyclopedia of Modern Marbles, Spheres & Orbs by Mark Block & the magazine Glass Line.
