Flameworking is a great way to experience the thrill of shaping molten glass using a small torch. In this introductory course, you will learn the basics of melting borosilicate glass rods to create a variety of objects such as small sculptures, pendants and simple ornaments. You will use mostly clear glass and some colour. You will also learn about the nature of glass, tools and terminology and glass safety. No experience required. All materials are included in the cost.

About the Instructor

Joanne Andrighetti is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Crafts and Design program and has been working in glass for 30 years.  She has operated glassblowing and flameworking studios, exhibited her work across North America and been a teaching assistant at the Pilchuck Glass School.
