Ready Set Glow - Weekend Workshop

Make your own wearable glass pendant and earring bead set.
During this weekend workshop you will learn two techniques of glass manipulation and make a beautiful, wearable work of art. Using borosilicate rods of clear and coloured glass, you will melt and manipulate the glass in the flame to create one of a kind pendants. Then you will you learn the basic skill of wrapping glass around a mandrel to create glass beads with a hole. These two separate skills will create a unified glass jewellery set.

No experience is required. All materials are provided. Must be 16+

About the Instructor
Maria Keating has been flameworking for over a decade, compiling techniques learned from the diverse local glass artists.  As a teacher of organic gardening methods at the City of Vancouver Compost Demonstration Garden, she now brings her teaching methods to students who want to working in borosilicate and soft glass.
