Let's explore borosilicate glass on the mandrel. This course is designed for beginners and boro-curious to learn about some of tips and tricks to making a bead out of this hotter worked glass. We will explore tools, colours, layering and punty manipulation to start you on the journey. Students will have ample torch time to get feed back from instructor. No experience required. All materials provided. 

About the Instructor

Maria Keating has been flameworking for over a decade, compiling techniques learned from the diverse local glass artists.  As a teacher of organic gardening methods at the City of Vancouver Compost Demonstration Garden, she now brings her teaching methods to students who want to working in borosilicate and soft glass.
